We all know that ageism is rampant, directed at both older and younger people, and affects our health, financial security and the economy.
That’s why Changing the Narrative started in 2018, with funding from NextFifty Initiative and Rose Community Foundation. We had—and still have–a bold goal: To end ageism.
On November 4, we are presenting what we’ve learned over the first three years at a special webinar hosted by Grantmakers in Aging and sponsored by The John A. Hartford Foundation.
In this free one hour session, you’ll learn about:
- Different strategies that we’ve used, and what has worked and what hasn’t
- How to engage media, policymakers, business and the larger community
- Creative campaigns to engage older adults in mobilizing against ageism and advocating for policy change
- Concrete tips, ideas and strategies to engage your organization, community and constituents in thinking, talking and acting differently about reframing aging and addressing ageism.
You’ll leave the session with some ideas and tips on how you can get started in your community (or organization).
