Many Voices, One Choir: Instagram Workshop for Aging Advocates
February 24 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am MST$29
Are you currently using Instagram for social activism? If not, it’s time to get started!
We know what you might be thinking: Can Instagram help to advance aging-related issues and to address ageism? Meg LaPorte, co-founder of Art Against Ageism and Jan Golden, founder of Age-friendly Vibes, say “Yes!”
In the past few years, Instagram, with more than one billion daily active users, has become a social media platform that is hard to ignore.
Instagram is a great platform for social change since you can meet people where they already are, educate and inspire, and get them to take action outside of Instagram.
This workshop is intended for people who are new to Instagram or people who have used Instagram primarily for personal use.
Meg and Jan will cover how to set up your account, find accounts to follow, and show you different types of content using Instagram accounts that are active in ending ageism. Plus, they’ll be helping us set up our own Instagram account along the way.
More than just a workshop, however, Many Voices, One Choir is a CALL TO ACTION!
Following this workshop, you’ll receive access to the following resources:
- A recording of the workshop
- Handouts so that you can start on your Instagram presence the next day
- A list of others participating with their Instagram accounts so that we can start sharing and amplifying each others’ voices
The single bundled price for the workshop and accompanying resources: $29
